Theo

Theo, Theo my bro, my saviour who kept me from hunger and privation. You worked while I tried to keep my sanity by painting God’s creation, interpreting them in my own way.

Arles in France had that high intensity sunlight that makes every God’s creation shines in a different light, with that heat that can make one’s blood boil.

So Vincent painted and continually tirelessly painted while Theo continually worked. It was a partnership that produced those masterpieces, caused by a younger brother’s love for his older brother, reminding us of that Bible verse – For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. Or this verse 1 John 4:20

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”
